Yulia Raskina from Belarus, silver medal winner of the Olympic Games 2000 in Sydney,
decided to stop doing active Rhythmic Gymnastics.
Yulia had a long break in her career, because of an injury. At the Europeans in Granada
this year, she only gave two demonstrations instead of participating.
Her second place at a tournament in Strasbourg this year brought her back among the best
of the world. Other tournaments she competed this year were the grand prix in Moscow
(8th place) and the Donau Cup in Bratislava (2nd place).
Yulia always had great routines, and it really is a pity that she quit. Maybe we'll see her back as coach or as a member of the jury??
