On May 25th we had the Dutch Championships. The competition was organized by SVOD, and held in De Scheg, the sports center were the Alfred Vogel Grand Prix also takes place. I really like that center. But I liked it more when the old carpet was still in, today we had quite a strange carpet, but whatever...
In the morning the girls of category 4A had to start. For Pax Tessa, Demi, Patty and Nicole participated. (Pretty good score, 4 out 10!) They all never did a Dutch Championships on A-level before, so it was pretty exiting. They did a very good competition, and there were even medals for Tessa (1st place) and Demi (3rd place).
Next were Christel and Michelle, in the category 3A. Christel was 2nd on the last competitions, but unfortunately now she was 7th. Michelle did very good and became 2nd this time.
In the category 2A, juniors, four Pax gymnasts participated. Tessa and Melanie both had a
chance for gold, but Evelien van Rheenen from GTV de Badhoeve was too strong and Tessa and
Melanie became 2nd and 3rd.
Valerya and Roxanne became 7th and 8th.
And then in category 1A, seniors, I had to compete together with Maaike. I was very
nervous days ago, but on the moment it was completely gone. My exercises with ball and hoop
weren't very good, a lot of insecure difficulties and that kind of stuff. Ribbon was awful,
I don't want to talk about that! My clubs exercise was okay, but I had two little drops.
Later I heard that I had 23 points! (That's high for me) I was 3rd during the whole
competition, but because of that very high note I became 2nd!!
Maaike had also some bad luck with ribbon and her hoop routine had a few mistakes.
Ball was good, but the mark was a little disappointing. Clubs was very good.
Maaike became 5th all around.
