On Sunday March 21st the half final for B-level 3B and 4 was organised by SV Pax. One day earlier the same competition was held for gymnasts in the categories 2B and 1B. Kimberley Borchers, the only participant for Pax on Saturday, did very good and assured herself of a place in the final through ending on the 5th place. Until the last routine she was on a 3rd place - with rope she even scored the highest mark in her category 2B - but unfortunately she got a very low execution mark for her ribbon routine so she eventually ended on a still very good 5th place.
Category 4 had to start on Sunday. In this category are girls for category 4A and 4B combined.
Therefor, the first 10 gymnasts will participate at the Dutch National Championships and numbers 11 until
20 will participate in the B-level final. There were 30 (!) gymnasts in this category, so it was a
very long competition. Patty Groeskamp (Pax) did very good today, she didn't make big mistakes and won the gold
medal more than three points ahead of number two, Denizia van Coevorden.
Together with Chelsey Borchers, who ended 4th, Patty will compete for Pax at the Dutch Nationals.
Janneke Wackwitz had some bad luck today, but still managed to qualify for the B-level final.
Eline Lakerveld, Vera Meulblok and Tayla Greyling just missed the final by ending on place 21, 22 and 23.
In the afternoon the competition for gymnasts of category 3B took place. The Pax gymnasts did very good in this
category. Nicole Tjan got the highest score for ball and Martine Tromp was the best with ribbon.
Martine got the second place, after Yaela Echteld (Badhoeve) and Nicole won bronze. For Babette Bruyel it was really
exciting, she got 10th with only 0.066 points difference with number 11 (but the difference between Babette and number
9 was also only 0.082). I don't think she knew the results before the award ceremony, and it was beautiful to see the
expression on her face when she heard she qualified.
