The plan was to go to Verviers with Lisette, Natalya, Valerya, Tessa and me, but since
Valerya had broken her finger, Sandra came with us instead of Natalya ánd Valerya. On Thursday
evening after the training we drove to Verviers by car. We had to eat in the car during the journey.
Some time later we arrived at the boarding school and we went to our room. The next morning during breakfast
we heard the order of competition. Tessa and me were both in the first group, which was fun.
Before the competition we first had a training in the sports hall of the boarding school. After the training
we've eaten something and we went to the competition hall by bus. My competition went good and I believe Tessa
did good routines too. After the competition Tessa and I went back to the boarding school, after we ate pizza.
On Saterday morning we went to the city (Verviers). We also went to the mayor and there we got a present.
This day we were in the third group, so we were the last to do our routines. My clubs routine was really a disaster, but
ribbon was very good! With that apparatus I ended on a 29th place! This doesn't sound very good, but on this level it's
really good. Tessa did okay too.
That night when we came back the lights on our room fell out and we were in the hall with the Canadian gymnasts. We went to bed
late that night, because we didn't had competition on Sunday anyway. I ended 38th and Tessa 40th.
The next day were the apparatus finals and first Sandra, Lisette, Tessa and I watched the warming up of the finalists. It looked
really cool, especially the Russians. Then we went to the stand and watched beautiful routines. We left before the closing cermony,
because it would take very long. On our way back we visited MacDonalds!
When we arrived at de Veste (our training hall) we said goodbye to Sandra. It was really fun with her and she's very nice.
Whe also said goodbye to Lisette befor we went home. Normal life started with school the next morning again and training.
At the Autumn Tournament Arlett gave us our prize. Our medals had been given to us in Verviers already.
For Tessa this was the 4th time she competed in this competition and for me the 3rd. Now we are seniors and we can't participate anymore,
but Tessa and I will surely come to watch next time! It was really cosy with Lisette and Sandra!
