In Holland before Nationals there are always two competitions that decide which 10 gymnasts
qualify in each category. On Saterday March 6th the first one was organised by SV Pax in sports hal
'De Walvis' in Beverwijk.
I haven't seen the competition for category 3A and for juniors, I can only say that Roxanne Mooijekind (Pax)
did a very good competition with only small mistakes and got a silver medal and in 3A Michelle Tjon obtained
bronze.
In the senior category 1A there were 14 gymnasts competing. 4 of them came for Pax: Maaike Hoogstede,
Tessa Blommesteijn, Melanie Kap and I. Anna Pobokova was favorite for gold and easily won the competition.
For Tessa and Melanie this is their first year as a senior so the competition is pretty hard. They
both did a pretty good competition still and managed to end in the top 10 (Tessa 8th, Melanie 10th). The
difference with number 11 was pretty much too, about six points.
Maaike did good routines with hoop and ball, only she wasn't happy with her ribbon and clubs routines.
For me, this was the first competition this year that I was satisfied with (hopefully a lot more to come :P).
Ball and hoop were ok, only ribbon was awful but I was really happy with my clubs routine. Not even halfway the routine
I already thought: this is gonna be a good routine. I don't think I could've done better at this moment, only my last difficulty
I couldn't do properly because I didn't have enough time.
Eventually I ended 2nd and Maaike 3rd.

Lisa Vos qualifies for European Championships
Hoofddorp - On March 6th SV Pax participated in the 1st national competition Rhythmic Gymnastics A-level in Beverwijk.
After the Regional Championships it was time to see how the Pax-gymnasts placed nationally. Roxanne Mooijekind and Lisa Vos
went home with a silver medal. Lisa Vos qualified for the Europeans this way.
In the first category, 3A, the gymnasts showed routines with rope, ball, ribbon and without apparatus. Untill the last round it wasn't
clear who would win the medals. For Pax Michelle Tjon received bronze with 57.580. Tessa Rietbergen ended 4th and Demi Aarts 6th.
Also in the group 2A the first four gymnasts were almost equal and the giving of medals was only decided in the last round. The routines in this
category were rope, ball, clubs and ribbon. For Pax did Roxanne Mooijekind a good competition and she won silver with 63.981. Valerya Boeravkina ended
just after the podium on a 4th place and Christel Grimbergen ended 7th in this category.
At least the gymnasts of the category 1A did their competition. They showed routines with hoop, ball, clubs and ribbon. The first place was for Dutch
Champion Anna Pobokova. She won on all apparatuses. The other girls competed for the two medals that were left. These went to gymnasts of Pax. Lisa Vos
ended with 82.798 on a 2nd place. Maaike Hoogstede received 76.131 points, enough for the bronze medal. Tessa Blommesteijn ended in this strong field on the
8th place and Melanie Kap became 10th.
Ukrain
Lisa Vos from Pax has with this result* qualified for the European Championships Rhythmic Gymnastics in Ukrain. There she will represent The Netherlands together
with Anna Pobokova.
